What are they up to now?

In case you haven't noticed, it's been a while since our last blog entry. That is because our storage limit has been maxed out on our blogspirit account and we are too cheap to purchase more. So we did what we always do and turned to Google! You can access our new blog here, or you can go to http://tyandmegs.blogspot.com/. We'll always have these posts on this site, but for all of our new and exciting adventures look for us on Blogger!

PS It's still under construction--don't worry, we just bought HTML 4 dummies, and as soon as Ty is finished with the boards you should see great things.

It was so good to be home for a few days! It was fun to introduce Mckinlay to all of the family and it was just nice to get our Utah battery recharged. Golly, we miss the mountians! The first few days we were there were pretty rainy and a little chilly, but by Sunday the sun was out and it was so gorgeous! Too bad Ty had to head home to Boston for school just as the weather got nice. Mckinlay and I headed down to Orem on Monday afternoon and were able to visit with the McK-Fam and we even had time to visit with some friends.

So Mckinlay earns the champ award for sure! She was such a good flyer! Both ways she slept the entire time...well except for the 20 minutes she screamed her head off while the plane was sitting on the tarmac. We were waiting to take off and she majorly pooped, like through all three layers majorly pooped. They wouldn't let us get up because the plane was "moving". The air wasn't on yet so the lack of ventalition added to the major stinkage...so we just ended up changing her on our lap. It was so super fun!! But aside from that little hiccup, she was awesome!! (Thanks to our bud who went for days without eating, fasting and praying it wouldn't happen again on the way home! You know who you are.)

We got in at 12:30 Friday morning and Mckinlay woke up bright and early and all smiles that morning and got to jump in bed with Grandma and Grandpa and the Heiner girls.

They were so excited to meet her, and all the grandkids were so cute with her! It was like she had 11 little moms/dads running around the house. It's so funny watching the little kids with her. They all get that high baby voice and make big animated expressions, just like adults do. I think they all made comments on how big her smile is. Jayden said, "Her smile is so gigantic! It's like her eyes are going to pop!"

She got to meet Great Grandma Loveless and Great Grandpma and Grandpa Passey.



Peyton and "Gigantor" (as Cort calls her) are pretty much the cutest little cousins. They are only 16 days apart. It's gonna be so fun for them to grow up together! They are a little Breezy and Meghan in the making!

OK, so everyone is always telling me that Mckinlay is so my daughter and that we look exactly alike. Is there any question where she gets it from? I think not:

We got to see Aunt Maddel and I think she was pretty smitten. Mckinlay must be looking at Crazy Uncle Jeff's hair or something in this picture...

But Tyler will give Maddle a run for her money for the title of "most smitten."

I got to spend a little time with "my girls" too. It was such a treat.

Mom and I introduced Mckinlay to some of the finer things in life like Chick-fil-a, Bajio, CPK, shopping, running errands and how much fun it is to be best friends with your mom! I hope she took good notes!

All in all it was a great trip! Ty wishews he could have stayed longer, but now we're looking forward to this summer when we'll be able to spend more time with everyone. Thanks to everyone who made it so fun! We love you all.

I know, I know! You are pictured out, but I saved the best for last. Mckinlay and I had a little photo session the other day and they are pretty much my favorite pictures ever! And since it is so rare I have pictures I like of myself, they just had to be posted! She is just the happiest little babe ever! Could you just melt!?

We're leaving in a few hours for home.

Spring time is my favorite time to be in Utah. Everything is in bloom, the mountains are green and the air is fresh. AND if I'm lucky, I'll make it in time to see my favorite tree in my front yard in full bloom!

We're excited to see all our family members on both sides and for Mckinlay to meet everyone, especially Peyton. They are only two weeks apart and are destined to be buds!! Cross you fingers she will do well on the plane! And we'll see you soon.

It is 80 degrees! Can you believe it? Last weekend it was cold and rainy and today--beautiful! I would even call it HOT! We went to the park this morning with Melanie, Anna and Paul and I can definitely say Mckinlay liked the swings.

Blessed Spring!

The past two days have been so amazingly beautiful! Mckinlay and I have been loving our walks, so much in fact that we took two yestreday. AND the long awaited summer knees came out as well!! How cute is that!?

You know that song about showing off your summer knees and cutting off your winter hair!? No idea who sings it, but that has been the theme music of the weekend. Ty even got his long-over-due haircut (Not that I can say too much about a long-over-due haircut...remember how we are poor and I only get my haircut in Uath!?).

Ty and I were talking today and decided we definately need to live somewhere where it is warm all the time. It just plain makes us happy! Not that we've have been unhappy all winter by any means, but we forget how happy warmth makes us.

Sorry, not much to say, but hoorah for Spring and hoorah for our trip to Utah in 13 days! Which also means hoorah for a haircut! :)
